From yesterday after posting about new version of Orkut and how great the new layout looks and feel I have been getting lot of scarps, friends request even mails from everyone asking for an invitation. Basis on the request and limited number of invites Orkut Sharing planed to giveaway 4 exclusive invites of new version of Orkut to our 4 lucky readers.

Starting from today this giveaway has been open and will end on 4th November.

Twitter Lists Feature Is Now Live

Recently when I logged in my twitter account the first thing which caught my eyes was New! Lists as shown in the below snap-shot. Twitter had mentioned about this feature almost a month ago in their blog Soon to Launch: Lists and from last few days it has started to roll out this features officially.

This new Lists feature is still in its beat stage that is the reason it has been only rolled out in a small subsets of users till now .

What does this Twitter Lists do?

Now you can create a lists of Twitter accounts and can share with your friends or with anyone you like by making it public or even keep it to yourself by keeping it private.

I think with this new feature coming in Twitter it would be easer for Twitter users to keep a lists of people which they love to follow as well keep a track of it and what's better then sharing that list with everyone.

So those who have not yet got  this New! Lists box in their accounts should get it soon maybe in next couple of days in the mean time start planning about your list and do share the list with us. Also lets us know what do you think about this new feature in Twitter by leaving a comment.

Orkut News: New version for Orkut is released

Today Orkut officially announced and launched a brand new version of orkut for its team members and some of the lucky orkut users as well and guess what I am one of them. This is a huge step taken by orkut as whole orkut interface has been changed and I have to say its pretty impressive. Lets look at the what all we have in new version of orkut.

Features in new version of orkut:

- Fewer pages and faster browsing

- A clean and simple interface

- Greater personalization

Fewer pages and faster browsing

No one likes to wait keeping this in mind Orkut has improved its loading speed by using Google Web Toolkit (GWT) and also reduced number of pages as well which will take less time in waiting for things to load and more time doing what really matters which is hanging out with your friends!

• Fewer pages to get more control over your account like list of all your friends and communities can be seen in one frame block just by scrolling that block.  

A clean and simple interface

Its good to see that Orkut has not congested all the things in reducing the pages. The new looks looks clean and simple but though dynamic which is the best part. Now you can even use your friends' profile pages to keep up with their most recent activities and leave them scraps which is similar to facebook or twitter. Other cool features..

2. Recent visitors thumbnail photos rather then having their name 

3.Targeted friend suggestions

 

Greater personalization

You can personalize your orkut profile and homepage choosing from 5 colors Blue, Green, Orange, Pink and Black. One drawback is that with this new orkut version there is no orkut theme’s available for now other features…

• Customize your "about me" section

 

This new version of orkut is rolled out to few of the orkut user so if you have any friends who has an active new version account ask him to invite you  or you can even come to know by this icon that will appear on your friends' profile pages, next to their names. One more option is available you can join official community by which you can get an invite.
