So now lets talk business who are the valid participants for the first giveaway of new orkut version. It was a tough competition guys and we had to take this decisions to be fair enough to everyone.

For this giveaway we would also consider all the participant who has posted their Twitter Id instead of Twitter status but only if they have Tweeted about this giveaway.

This new Lists feature is still in its beat stage that is the reason it has been only rolled out in a small subsets of users till now .

What does this Twitter Lists do?

Now you can create a lists of Twitter accounts and can share with your friends or with anyone you like by making it public or even keep it to yourself by keeping it private.

I think with this new feature coming in Twitter it would be easer for Twitter users to keep a lists of people which they love to follow as well keep a track of it and what's better then sharing that list with everyone.

Fewer pages and faster browsing

No one likes to wait keeping this in mind Orkut has improved its loading speed by using Google Web Toolkit (GWT) and also reduced number of pages as well which will take less time in waiting for things to load and more time doing what really matters which is hanging out with your friends!

• Fewer pages to get more control over your account like list of all your friends and communities can be seen in one frame block just by scrolling that block.  

A clean and simple interface

Its good to see that Orkut has not congested all the things in reducing the pages. The new looks looks clean and simple but though dynamic which is the best part. Now you can even use your friends' profile pages to keep up with their most recent activities and leave them scraps which is similar to facebook or twitter. Other cool features..

Greater personalization

You can personalize your orkut profile and homepage choosing from 5 colors Blue, Green, Orange, Pink and Black. One drawback is that with this new orkut version there is no orkut theme’s available for now other features…

• Customize your "about me" section

This new version of orkut is rolled out to few of the orkut user so if you have any friends who has an active new version account ask him to invite you  or you can even come to know by this icon that will appear on your friends' profile pages, next to their names. One more option is available you can join official community by which you can get an invite.

Now if you are bugged up seeing these ads on Orkut and wish to remove both the ads. To fulfill your wish Orkut Plus has come up with a userscript which will remove both ads from Orkut. You can see the difference in the snap-shot.

Installation Instructions:-
This script is will work on Firefox since it uses Greasemonkey, a Firefox Add-on.

Follow the steps to get an advertisement free Orkut :-

1) Download Firefox if you don’t have it.
2) From your Firefox page itself Install Greasemonkey.
3) Now Install the Script the theme.
4) Now open your Orkut account and enjoy Orkut ad free.

The fourth theme is called Random and name explains itself that it will merely cycles through all the other themes randomly. This theme is good and bad as well, Good: you can have a look at all the themes automatically. Bad: Some people might get irritated with changing of themes all the time.
